When we opened our unique Peruvian restaurant in the old town of Avilés in 2011, we were pioneers.
We brought to this town concepts that other restaurants in the area did not offer, such as ceviche, tiradito or Nikkei sushi.
The originality of our proposal, which fused the Asturian pantry and its slow way of cooking with the Japanese accent of Nikkei cuisine and its techniques and formats, caused a sensation.
We not only immediately won over the public in the Principality, but also attracted the attention of the national press and critics, who praised the freshness of this unique formula.
With more than a decade behind us, Ronda 14 Avilés and its fusion cuisine have become a meeting point for food lovers who seek, at our tables and on our terrace, to have fun with the food and with the experience in one of the best Japanese restaurants in Asturias.
Our work, with Mario Céspedes as head chef and Conchi Álvarez at the head of the dining room, has been recognized by numerous awards, mentions in guides, specialized reviews and, most importantly, with the affection and devotion of the public.
Several generations of diners come to the restaurant day after day to be carried away by a different gastronomic proposal and, nevertheless, capable of pleasing almost everyone. Even those who have not tried fusion cuisine, Peruvian and with Nikkei touches find in its recipes recognizable flavors combined with new sensations to enjoy and be surprised with this version of the Peruvian cuisine enriched by Asturian cuisine.
There are many sushi restaurants in Asturias, but few like Ronda 14 Avilés.
Our cuisine is a fusion of diverse cultures, something that Mario Céspedes has adopted in the restaurant. Ingredients such as ajis, potatoes and quinoa, and typical dishes such as ceviche, form part of the culinary proposal at Ronda 14, inspired by the variety of Peruvian geography. Nikkei cuisine also plays an important role, with Céspedes fusing Japanese techniques and Asturian products to offer a refined and unique gastronomic experience.
